Campgrounds Near Munds Park, Arizona
Set up shop in one of the campgrounds around Munds Park, Arizona, and you are within a 2 1/2-hour drive of Phoenix and Scottsdale, and a half-hour drive of Sedona and Flagstaff. Outdoor activities, recreation and nature tours are also close by. The Petrified National Forest is 2 hours away, the Grand Canyon is 4 hours away and Sitgreaves National Forest is 3 hours away.

Munds Park RV Resort

Munds Park RV Resort is located on the edge of Munds Park and remains open from April 1 to Nov. 1. You can choose from 370 spaces. All but 35 of these sites are full hookup offering 30- and 50-amp electrical service, cable TV and free wireless Internet service. Facilities include bathrooms, hot showers, two laundromats, a general store and lounge with large-screen TV and fireplace. This Munds Park campsite borders the Coconino National Forest where you can enjoy hiking and biking trails as well as boating and fishing. You might even be able to ski if there's an early snow.

Manzanita Campground

The Manzanita campground is in Coconino National Forest. This campground is 34.3 miles away from Munds Park. Bring your fishing equipment because these camps are located right near the waters of Oak Creek. This is a tent-only campground as the sites here are not large enough to accommodate RVs or even small trailers. You'll find 18 single-unit campsites that come with fire rings and cooking grills. You've got clear drinking water and vault toilets. Recreation at Manzanita includes fishing and swimming in the creek. The hiking trails of Coconino National Forest also are available.

KOA-Flagstaff-Grand Canyon

The KOA-Flagstaff-Grand Canyon campground is half hour away from Munds Park. There are 203 sites of which 97 can accommodate RVs and seven are tent-only. The RV sites offer 50-amp electrical service, and you can add cable TV service for an additional fee. Also for an additional fee is the Kamp Kitchen, which is available from May through October. The general store is stocked with groceries and RV supplies as well as gifts. The whole family is invited to join in on Family Movie Night screened on the 55-inch TV. You can also rent movies to watch yourself or borrow books from the lending library. On-site recreation includes biking and hiking trails.
