The small town of Tower is on Lake Vermilion in northeastern Minnesota. Outdoor activities include hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, boating and swimming. Hoodoo Point Campground

This campground is on Lake Vermilion and within minutes of shopping and dining in Tower. It has RV sites and tent sites with the option for lakeside camping. The campground has a convenience store, two boat launches, dump station, playground, picnic area, hiking trails, bike trail, bathrooms, showers, a swimming area and private beach. It also is close to the airport, where visitors can take a scenic plane ride. RV sites have hookups for water, sewer, 20-, 30- and 50-amp electric.

McKinley Park Campground

Located 2 miles from Tower, the campground is on Lake Vermilion and has RV and tent sites. The campground has a swimming beach, hiking trail, biking trail, playground, laundry facilities, camp store, fishing docks, showers, bathrooms and a boat launch. Sites range from primitive to large RV sites with water and electric. The location is popular for fishing, swimming and boating on the lake. It is also within minutes of shopping and dining.

Campground Island

The campground is on a private island 1 mile from a Tower-Soudan public boat launch. The 2.5 acre-island can be exclusively rented by campers and allows an isolated camping experience. It has multiple tent sites, fire pits and an emergency cabin for use in bad weather. It also has an outhouse, large boat dock and gas grill. The island is ideal for groups looking for a wilderness experience.
