Marietta is located approximately 15 miles northwest of Atlanta, just south of the North Georgia Mountains. Established in 1834, the city has a vibrant downtown square and features old Victorian homes, historic sites and a small-town community. It has an extensive parks and trails system and is just 20 miles south of Lake Allatoona, a popular recreation attraction. Atlanta Marietta RV Resort Park is located just 13 minutes from downtown Atlanta. The park is surrounded by woods and offers a natural setting. It has 70 paved sites with 20-, 30- or 50-amp full hookups and features free Wi-Fi Internet and cable TV, bathhouses with showers, laundry facilities, a seasonal swimming pool and allows pets. It is just a short drive to Southern Polytechnic State University, Dobbins Air Force Base, Al Burruss Nature Park and Aviation Park.

Dobbins AFB Family Campground

Open to members of the Military and their families, Dobbins Air Force Base Family Campground has 18 sites with water and 30-amp hookups. It has shower and laundry facilities and is located in a wooded area next to Big Lake. No reservations are required and campsites are rented on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Holiday Harbor Marina & Resort

Holiday Harbor Marina & Resort is located approximately 20 minutes north of Marietta and is nestled along the shores of Lake Allatoona. There are 24 sites with 20-, 30- or 50-amp full hookups, 20 of which are lakeside. Open all year it features restrooms with showers, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi Internet, a swimming area with play structure, onsite restaurant, a marina, 24-hour gas boating dock, boat and canoe, kayak and paddle boat rentals, volleyball courts and hiking trails. Visitors typically enjoy water sports, boating and fishing on Lake Allatoona or hiking trails around the lake.
