Edinburg is a mid-size city in southern Texas. Edinburg is about 40 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, where visitors can enjoy sea-kayaking, bird-watching, scuba diving, wildlife observation and surfing. Sea-kayakers can keep an eye out for dolphins, and bird-watchers can try to spot many different species of migratory and sea-birds. Valley Gateway RV Park offers RV sites surrounded by oak, palm, and ash trees which provide cooling shade from the humid, hot sun. Sites have 30- or 50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections. Pets are welcome if leashed. Guests staying at at the Valley Gateway may use the showers, bathrooms, laundry room, guest house, and kitchen. The nearby Rio Grande Valley has over 450 species of birds that bird-watchers can try spotting. The Gulf Shore beaches are within 45 minutes, where visitors can sea-kayak or try snorkeling, sometimes with wild dolphins.

Orange Grove RV Park

The Orange Grove RV Park offers visitors to Edinburg an RV park with a range of services and amenities. RVs of most sizes can be accommodated, as there are back-in and pull-through sites. Hookups include 30- or 50-amp electric, water, and sewer. The park is surrounded by orange trees providing cooling shade. Pets are welcome. The Orange Grove offers showers, bathrooms, shuffleboard courts, laundry, and guest house for guest use. Road bicyclists can enjoy the many miles of rural roads and country routes.

Texas Trails RV Resort

Texas Trails has a plethora of amenities for the RV traveler. Sites have either 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer and cable TV connections. There is Wi-Fi on the grounds for guest use. There is a guest room, shower room, bathrooms, picnic and barbecue station, swimming pool and spa, laundry facility, and tennis courts. Pets are allowed if leashed. The Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge is within an hour's drive and visitors to the refuge can observe native wildlife such as armadillos, coyotes, red fox, and a myriad of bird-species.
