Situated in western Texas along Interstate 20, Odessa is approximately midway between Fort Worth and El Paso. Originally established as a stop on the Texas and Pacific Railroads, the city has a rich history in oil and cowboys. Today, it is home to the Ector Theater, Midland Odessa Symphony, the world's largest Jack Rabbit and the Odessa Meteor Crater, the second largest meteor crater in the nation at approximately 550 feet in diameter. RV travelers and outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy road biking, wildlife viewing and bird-watching in the region. When traveling to Odessa there are a number of RV campgrounds in the area from which to choose.

Located approximately 6 minutes east of Odessa off Interstate 20, Midessa Oil Patch RV Park offers 122 sites with 30- or 50-amp full hookups with large pull-throughs. It features restrooms with showers, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi Internet, cable TV, a swimming pool, shuffleboard courts and pet playground. The park is close to Midland International Airport and the American Airpower Heritage Museum, home to the world's largest collection of original aviation nose art and is known for its collection of World War II artifacts and memorabilia.

Stanley Mobile Home & RV Park is located approximately 15 minutes east Odessa off Interstate 20 and offers sites for extended-stay visitors and RVers traveling through with full hookups. Midland RV Campground is located approximately 20 minutes east of Odessa on Interstate 20 and has 140 sites, 78 of which are pull-throughs. It features restrooms with showers, laundry facilities, free Wi-Fi Internet and cable TV, a large meeting room, 100-foot fenced dog run and on-site store. The campground is located within a short drive of Henderson Park, a neighborhood park managed by the City of Midland Parks and Recreation department.
