McIntosh Lake RV Park

McIntosh Lake RV Park is located in Townsend, GA, just a short distance from Lake Park in southern Georgia. This site includes several RV sites with full hook-ups for electric, water, and sewer. The sites also come with free wireless Internet and cable TV. Tenters can enjoy peaceful, private sites with fire pits and flat tent pads. Harris Neck National Wildlife Sanctuary is just down the street from the campground. This area offers several tours for amateur naturalists, and various trails and nature walks for those looking for further seclusion.

Lake Park KOA

Located in the heart of Lake Park, this KOA (Kampground of America)--a nationally recognized campground--has all that a camper could hope for. Campers with pop-ups or RVs will have ample sites from which to choose. Those seeking modern creature comforts in the woods can rent cabins, and primitive campers can choose from a wide array of tent sites. The campground has pull-through sites for RVers and the site is equipped with free wireless Internet. While at this KOA, make sure to visit The Camilla Trail, where hiking paths abound.

Eagles Roost

Eagles Roost campground, located right in Lake Park, is the only site in Lake Park where you can wake up with your morning coffee, amble over in your PJs, and peruse the various wares at the Flea Market--located on the premises. The site also offers sites with full hook-ups for RVs, horseshoes, laundry, a snack shop, and nearly 100 tent sites. While at Eagles Roost, check out the Okefenokee Swamp, where you can witness the native wildlife from the comfort of the groomed and maintained nature trails.
