Common areas include restrooms, showers and a laundry facility for guest use. Spaces can be rented by the night or by the month. Tyler is less than 25 miles southeast of Van and only a short seven mile drive from the massive Lake Palestine, where visitors can experience boating and other recreation on and along the water.

The 5 Star RV Park has only 25 sites, but each back-in site is 65 feet in length and the pull through options are 75 feet long. Full hookups are provided with 20-, 30- and 50-amp electric from a renewable energy source. Cable connections and Wi-Fi service are free and available at every site. Pets are welcome and the management stays onsite for greater safety and security. Nature trails wind through the grounds, while Lake Tyler is located south of the city. The lake has an east and a west arm with multiple surrounding parks, two-lane ramps and parking lots to facilitate boat launches.
