RV Parks near St. Louis

RV Parks near St. Louis
St. Louis sits on the Mississippi River, along the Illinois/Missouri border. The smaller cities of the region contain many RV park options, with several that pair accommodations with a stay in the midst of natural attractions. By staying in a park in one of the surrounding communities, travelers can still have access to the city, but avoid the daily stress and traffic.

Granite City KOA

Granite City KOA offers pull-through sites that can accommodate big rigs up to 70 feet long. The sites come with 50-amp electric and free wireless Internet service; the park has LP gas for sale and a dog park for pets. The pool is seasonal, but the park also has a playground and several outdoor games--from basketball to horseshoes. Granite City is only eight miles north of St. Louis--just over the state line in Illinois--and only nine miles northwest of Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site. The 800 acres of this historic site open to the public contain trails where visitors can hike to the top of Monks Mound and around the bases of other ancient mounds."
