Rusnik Campground is a family-run site that offers ample activities for children and adults. Families should consider hopping in the car and making the short trip to Peabody to visit the state parks in the area--Lynn Heritage State Park and Harold Parker State Park. Both have nature trails, open spaces, and educational programs for children. The campground itself includes several sites for RVs with hookups and dumping stations, a swimming pool, bocce ball, and miniature golf. For those seeking a night on the town, the train to Boston is only a few short minutes from the campsite.

The Pines Camping Area

The Pines Camping Area is adjacent to the town of Peabody. Included at the campground are a general store, laundry facilities, a playground for the kids, a heated pool, and a snack kiosk during the summer. The campground has more than 160 sites, one dedicated area for RVs, hookups for water and electricity, dumping stations, and several tent sites for minimalist campers. Make sure to make a visit to the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge where you can go birding, walk the nature trails, and view the marshlands.
