Moline is located in northern Illinois, along the Mississippi River and the border with Iowa. The area has RV parks that bring together family fun and the out-of-doors and provide basic sites with immediate access to the natural resources of state park properties.

Rock Island KOA @ Camelot

The Rock Island KOA is four miles west of Moline in Rock Island. The KOA is home to the Four Kingdoms Renaissance Festival and Camelot. The campground comprises over 150 shaded acres, with pull-through sites, back-in sites and sites on the lake upon request. Full hookups and Wi-Fi service are provided, along with on-site RV repairs and a dump station. The park has a camp store and sells LP gas. KOA can offer your family a wide range of outdoor activities. Grab a paddleboat or canoe and head out onto the lakes or let the kids cool off at the water spraypark while you spend time in the adults-only hot tub. The park has a heated pool, game room, fun cycles and more traditional pursuits like sand volleyball, basketball and other outdoor games.

Buffalo Shores State Recreation Area

The 25-acre Buffalo Shores State Recreation Area sits on the Mississippi River shoreline, 16 miles from Moline. Travelers will find hard-surfaced roads and camping pads surrounding the 65 campsites. Each site comes with electric and water service and campers have access to a dump station and comfort station with showers. The park offers a boat ramp and beach on the river, while nearby West Lake Park has paddleboat rentals and more options for camping, swimming and water sports.

Indian Trails Resort

The Indian Trails Resort, 11 miles east of Moline, has a more secluded, pristine camping experience to provide travelers. The management sells memberships that allow you discount use of parks nationwide. Lakeside campsites are available at this family oriented facility. The park has over 30 acres, where wildlife sightings are possible alongside areas created for basketball, baseball, tennis and miniature golf. Take one of the park paddleboats out on the water or bring your own boat along. If you tire of hiking the resort, a teen center, indoor and outdoor pools and a hot tub offer more relaxing forms of play. Black Hawk State Historic Site provides even greater opportunities for hiking and recreation within a short drive from the resort.
