Located in southwest Colorado, Creede has ample outdoor recreational opportunities. The town sits within the Rio Grande National Forest and is surrounded by several wilderness areas. The Rio Grande River provides visitors with trout fishing and rafting opportunities, and the surrounding mountains provide hiking, biking, mountain climbing and scenic views. The area is home to mule deer, elk, waterfowl and bighorn sheep.

Located on the Rio Grande River, this RV park offers trout fishing right out your front door. The park is less than one mile from the shops and reataurants in Creede and it has easy access to hiking and biking trails in the San Juan Mountains. It has a fitness center, luxury spaces with hot tubs, and sites can be rented or owned. RV sites have hookups for water, sewer, and 20-, 30- or 50-amp electric.

Alpine Trails RV Park

Located 21 miles from downtown Creede, this RV park is in the small community of South Fork. The park has a recreation hall, showers, restrooms, laundry facilities, grassy sites and shade trees. It is within minutes of the Rio Grande Club Golf Course, Wolf Creek Ski Area and the Rio Grande National Forest. The park is pet-friendly but requires leashes. RV sites have hookups for water, sewer and 30-amp electric.

Marshall Park Campground

Located on forest road 523 this is a primitive campground in the Rio Grande National Forest. The campground has RV sites with access to restrooms and potable water. The location is quiet and makes an ideal base camp for fishing, hiking, biking, hunting, wildlife watching and scenic drives. Additional tent sites and picnic tables are available.
