The Okeechobee KOA is perfect for large groups, even family reunions, and those who are looking to keep busy during their stay. For the RV camper, KOA has pull-through lots that can accommodate lengths up to 50 feet, plus 50-amp electrical hookups, sewage and water. There is optional cable TV and telephone service. There are also tent sites and cabins available for rental, with a number of support facilities including meeting rooms, a gas station, a snack bar and wireless Internet.

Okee-Tantie Campground

Located directly on the shore of Lake Okeechobee, Okee-Tantie is perfect for those looking for an aquatic escape. Doubling as a marina, Okee-Tantie has launches for kayaks and canoes, a pier for fishing and easy access to hiking trails along the Kissimmee River. RV drivers can expect gravel pull-through and back-in lots for vehicles up to 40 feet in length. Full hookups are available. There are also a number of shared facilities for tent or RV camper, including bathrooms, laundry, public phones and a grocery store.

Vantage Oaks Campground

Located at the northern tip of Lake Okeechobee, Vantage Oaks Campground is perfect for those looking to tent or RV camp. The site offers full hookups, including electricity, sewage and water. For other campers, Vantage Oak has shared picnic tables, fire rings and bathrooms. While there's not a lot going on at the campground itself, Vantage Oaks is known as an exceptional jumping off point for many of the local attractions and events. Its central location makes it perfect for those looking for somewhere peaceful but convenient.

Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park

If you seek something a little more rugged, than Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park is perfect for you. The park offers a number of tent sights with a separate section for equestrian campers. The park features plenty of local wildlife, including deer and turkey. Plus, the family camping section has showers, allowing kids to wash up after a day outside. Large groups can share a picnic under the park's sheltered spaces.
