Located on the shores of Lake Okanagan, Kelowna offers visitors many opportunities for outdoor recreation: kayak touring, canoeing, sailing, swimming, and scuba diving. Mountain bikers can ride the trails at Knox Mountain, and hikers can find trails in the city, along the lake and in the mountains surrounding Kelowna. Crystal Mountain offers winter time skiing. Several scenic RV parks are in the Kelowna region.

Orchard Hill RV

Guests staying at Orchard Hill RV vacation sites stay on 13 acres of apple orchards and hay fields with a fully operating farm. You can see views of the rolling hills and small peaks from the grounds. Orchard Hill accommodates most sizes of RVs. Hookups at Orchard Hill include water, sewer, 30- or 50-amp electric, cable TV and Wi-Fi. Pets are allowed if leashed. There is no public bathroom, so RVs need to be self-contained. Orchard HIll is an adult-oriented park; children under 13 are not allowed.

Shady Lane RV Park

The Shady Lane offers RV sites in the Glenmore Valley with shade trees and views of farmland, orchards and surrounding hills. Shady lane offers pull-through and back-in sites for most size RVs. Hookups include 30- or 50-amp electric, water and sewer. Cable TV, Wi-Fi, bathrooms, showers and a laundry room are also on the premises. Pets are allowed but must be leashed. Lake Okanagan is minutes from the campground where guests can kayak and fish.

Hiawatha RV Park

Hiawatha RV Park offers sites for RV and tent campers. The grounds are manicured and green, and many sites offer views of the hills and small mountains. Services and amenities for guests include showers, bathrooms, picnic areas, swimming pool, guest house, laundry room and grills. Pets are allowed but must remain leashed in the campground. Sites can handle most RV sizes. Hookups include 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer and cable TV. Wi-Fi is available in the park. Lake Okanagan is a five-minute drive from the campground, which is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the province. Guests can keep their eyes open for "Ogopogo," the unknown creature that is said to inhabit the lake.
