Boyne City is located in the Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan on the banks of Lake Charlevoix. Boyne Falls is approximately eight miles away from Boyne City and is named for the waterfalls of the Boyne River. This area is popular for boating, fishing, and hiking or biking on various local trails, as well as for downhill and cross-country skiing at the Boyne Mountain Resort, a short drive away, making it a welcome destination for RV owners.

Chandler Hill Campground

Chandler Hill Campground in Boyne Falls has 70 campsites with water and electrical hookups for RVs. Sewer hookups are also available at 17 of these sites. Amenities include ADA handicapped accessible bathrooms and showers, laundry facilities, a dump station, a heated outdoor pool, a playground, horseshoe pits and a propane fill station. The surrounding area features several trails for ATVs and motorcycles as well as hiking, biking and cross-country skiing. This campground offers canoes and kayaks for rent, which can be used on one of the nearby lakes, including Thumb Lake and Walloon Lake. Michigan's largest indoor water park, Avalanche Bay, is located just 10 miles away from the campground and is open year-round.

Petoskey KOA Campground

The KOA Campground located in Petosky, Michigan, is approximately 14 miles away from Boyne Falls and one mile from Lake Michigan. This park has 160 RV sites with electrical hookups and cable TV available for an additional charge. Each site is paved and features a concrete patio and can accommodate RVs of up to 90 feet long. Other amenities include an outdoor swimming pool and a hot tub open seasonally from early May to early September as of January 2010. Propane gas and firewood can be purchased on-site, and food and beverages are available at the campground's snack bar. The campground hosts day trips to nearby attractions, including the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Mackinac Island and a lighthouse museum. Guests can also enjoy swimming, fishing and boating on nearby Round Lake and Lake Michigan.

East Jordan Tourist Park

East Jordan Tourist Park is located 14 miles from Boyne City on the south arm of Lake Charlevoix. The campground is open from mid-April to mid-October as of January 2010 and features 68 RV sites with full hookups, including electric, water, sewer and cable TV. The campground has a sandy beach along the Lake Charlevoix shoreline, restrooms and showers, a horseshoe pit, a children's playground and a dog run. Visitors can enjoy swimming, fishing and boating on Lake Charlevoix or visit the Raven Hill Discovery Center less than five miles away. Raven Hill is an interactive museum on 157 acres featuring exotic animals and 1.5 miles of trails.
