Baker, on the eastern border of Nevada, is the gateway to Great Basin National Park, the only national park entirely within the state of Nevada. The small town is home to the new Great Basin Visitors Center, with the entrance to the park just five miles west on Highway 488. Great Basin National Park visitors can enjoy hiking and biking trails, fishing, wildlife viewing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and climbing. The park boasts the bristlecone pine tree, and a deep cave system known as Lehman Caves, which feature some notable examples of stalagmites, stalactites and rare shield formations. When traveling by RV to Baker, you will find several RV park options.
 

Border Inn and RV Park

On the Utah--Nevada border and 13 miles from Great Basin National Park, Border Inn and RV Park has 20 sites with 30- or 50-amp full hook-ups. The RV park is adjacent to the 29-room inn that features an on-site restaurant, small casino and store. Mountain biking over 35 miles of trails in the nearby Sacramento Pass Recreation Area and hiking the canyons of Mount Moriah Wilderness Area are popular activities for visitors.

Great Basin National Park: Lower Lehman Creek Campground

Approximately 10 minutes from Baker in Great Basin National Park, hiking, biking, bird-watching, caving, fishing, star gazing, bird-watching, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and climbing are just a few activities for recreation enthusiasts. Open all year, the Lower Lehman Creek Campground is 2.5 miles from the Lehman Caves Visitors Center in Great Basin National Park and has 11 sites. Situated at 7,300 feet, it features pit toilets, fire rings and a dump station. Water is available during the summer in campground spigots and RV tanks can be filled at the dump station.

Great Basin National Park: Upper Lehman Creek Campground

About 3.5 miles from the Lehman Caves Visitors Center in Great Basin National Park, the Upper Lehman Campground has 22 sites. Along the banks of Lehman Creek, it is situated at 7,752 feet and includes pit toilets, fire rings and a dump station. Water is available during the summer in campground spigots; RV tanks can be filled at the dump station.
