Located approximately 16 miles northwest of Boulder, Longmont is located along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in Boulder County at 4,979 feet above sea level. It has over 300 days of sunshine and scenic views of the Rocky Mountains. It also is just 30 miles from Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park. St. Vrain State Park

Formerly named Barbour Ponds, St. Vrain State Park offers 50 acres of land and 80 acres of water split among several ponds. It is located off Interstate 25 between Denver and Fort Collins. Open all year, there are 87 campsites in eight campgrounds with most sites located on or near the banks of the ponds. Sites 1-41 have electrical hookups with water nearby and a centrally located dump station, while sites 42-87 have water, sewer and electric at each site. Popular activities include biking, hiking and bird-watching along nature trails, and paddle boating, fishing and ice fishing along waterways.

Boulder County Fairgrounds Campground

Located on the county fairgrounds, Boulder County Fairgrounds Campground has 92 sites with 30- or 50-amp full hookups. It is open all year but has seasonal restrooms with showers open March through September. It also allows pets. Hiking and fishing at Fairgrounds Lake Park are popular activities as the 16-acre lake is stocked with largemouth and smallmouth bass, bluegill and channel catfish.

Countrywood Inn & RV Park

Centrally located in the heart of Longmont, Countrywood Inn & RV Park is a locally owned 10-room inn and 20-site RV park with 30- or 50-amp full hookups. Open all year, it features large shaded sites with cable TV, Wi-Fi Internet, restrooms with showers and laundry facilities. Boating and fishing at McIntosh Lake is a short 10-minute drive, and trailheads for local mountain bike trails are just eight minutes from the park.
