RV Campgrounds in Jackson, Wyoming
Jackson, Wyoming, is a small community tucked in the shadow of the Grand Tetons. Outdoor enthusiasts have access to backpacking, hiking, and mountain biking trails such as the Canyon Trail near Teton Village, and the Snow-King Trails out of Jackson. The nearby Snake River has rafting and kayaking as well as fishing. Skiers can ride the lifts at Jackson Hole or Snow King, or ski-tour in the Grand Teton National Park. Yellowstone National Park is a 60-mile drive from Jackson. The are several options for RV parks and campgrounds in Jackson.
 

Snake River KOA

The Snake River KOA shares the grounds with the Snake River Park Whitewater rafting company. Guests who stay at the KOA receive a 10 percent discount on any rafting trip they book with the outfitter. In addition to the white-water opportunities, the KOA has sites for most size RVs and offers 30- or 50-amp electric, water and sewer hookups. There are hot showers to wash off and warm-up in after a day on the river. Picnic areas, tent sites and recreation grounds are on the premises for guest use. Pets are allowed if leashed. Guests needing Internet connections may use the KOA's Wi-Fi.

Virginian Lodge

The Virginian Lodge, or "The Virg" as locals call it, is located off Route 89 in Jackson. The Virginian is centrally located and has a bar, restaurant and gift shop on the premises. RVs of most sizes can be handled at the Virginian. Hookups include 30- or 50-amp electric, water and sewer. There are options for cable TV and Wi-Fi. There is a free town shuttle from the Virginian across the street from the RV campgrounds, which takes visitors to the Jackson Town Square for free. Pets can stay at the RV campground if they are leashed. The Jackson Hole ski resort at Teton Village is 12 miles from the campground, and Snow King is a mile drive from the park.

Grand Teton National Park

Visitors to Jackson can opt to stay at one of the RV or primitive campgrounds at Grand Teton National Park. Reservations during the summer months are highly suggested and can be made online at reserveamerica.com. Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) has two campgrounds, the Colter Bay and Flagg Ranch trailer villages, with sites for RVs of most sizes and water, electric and sewer hookups. The Jenny Lake facility has primitive sites for tents and smaller RVs. Pets are allowed only on leashes. Visitors at any of the park's campgrounds must adhere to a set of rules governing food storage and preparation because of bear activity. There are showers and bathrooms on the grounds. Visitors have access to hiking trails, fishing and wildlife watching in GTNP.
