RV Campgrounds in the Reno, Nevada Area
Outdoor enthusiasts visiting the Reno/Lake Tahoe region will find many opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, rafting, kayaking, fishing and skiing. The "Biggest Little City in the World" presents many urban attractions and activities as well as being a good place to base camp for an exploration of the region. RV travelers to the Reno area have many options for parks and campgrounds.
 

Reno RV Park

The Reno RV Park is a family-owned-and-run RV park in the Reno area. RV sites have water, sewer, cable TV, Wi-Fi and 30-amp electric hookups. Most size RVs can be handled, but larger RV owners should call for availability. Pets are allowed but should remain leashed. There is a fenced dog run where four-legged visitors can run leash free, and "mutt-mitts" for cleanup are provided. The 3.4 mile Evans Canyon Trail is within a 30-minute drive for those seeking a hike in the region.

Bonanza Terrace RV Park

The Bonanza is located about 4 miles outside of downtown Reno and has services and sites for all sizes of RV. Hookups include 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer and options for cable TV. The park has Wi-Fi for guest use. Pets are welcome if they remain leashed and owners clean up after them. There are showers and bathrooms, guest room, laundry and picnic area. The 13 miles of hiking trails at Mount Rose and Bronco Creek are within an hour drive from the Bonanza.

Shamrock RV Park

The Shamrock RV Park received an "Award of Excellence" in 2009 for the condition and maintenance of the parks buildings and property by "Trailer Life Magazine." Amenities at the Shamrock include free Wi-Fi,, showers, private toilets, swimming pool and laundry. Sites have 30- or 50-amp electric, water and sewer, with options for cable TV. Pets are allowed if leashed. Lake Tahoe is an hour drive from the Shamrock where visitors can mountain bike, hike, swim, kayak-tour, ski and rock climb.
