Lido Key, St. Armands Key, Otter Key, Coon Key and Bird Key are all islands that can be reached easily from Sarasota's waterfront.

Myakka River State Park

The Myakka River State Park houses an RV campground and tent sites on its ground. The park hosts hiking, fishing, camping and wildlife observation. The Myakka River flows through the campground, giving you quick access to kayaking and fishing. Reservations are highly recommended and you can make them at Sites have water and 30-amp electric hookups, and there are showers and bathrooms on the premises. Pets are allowed but must remain leashed while in the park. Y can also use the dump station on the grounds.

Holiday Cove RV Resort

The Holiday Cove RV Resort is located near the Intracoastal Waterway, where sea-kayakers can paddle and look for manatees. RVs of all sizes are accommodated,and each site has either 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV and free Wi-Fi service. The resort has hot showers and private bathrooms, a fitness center, a guest room with plasma TV and a swimming pool. Pets are welcome.
