Clearwater Crossing RV Park

Located along the banks of the Clearwater River, Clearwater Crossing RV Park possesses 49 sites with 30- or 50-amp full hookups and easy access to the river. The park features restrooms with showers, free Wi-Fi Internet, cable TV and laundry facilities. It allows pets and offers a fish cleaning station. Open all year, it is located on the Lewis and Clark Trail and is near hiking, biking and ATV trails. The Clearwater River attracts whitewater rafters and anglers in pursuit of steelhead and salmon. For seeking birdies can play two courses. Those seeking birds of a different kind have numerous hunting and bird-watching opportunities near the RV park.

Freeman Creek Campground

The 850-acre Dworshak State Park is located 24 miles from Orofino on the western shore of Dworshak Reservoir. Boating, swimming, fishing, camping, hiking, biking, water-skiing, and wildlife viewing are popular activities for visitors at this park. Open all year, Freeman Creek Campground has 105 campsites with electricity and can accommodate RVs up to 50 feet. It features restrooms with showers, flush toilets, a playground, boat ramp, an archery range and a fish-cleaning station. During the winter season from October to April, the campground is open but with limited facilities. Snowshoeing, skiing and snowmobiling are the activities available right outside the RV door during this time.

Dworshak Reservoir -- Dent Acres Campground

Located in Clearwater Valley along the banks of Dworshak Lake approximately 20 miles north of Orofino, Dent Acres Campground is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Dworshak Lake is 54 miles long and draws anglers looking for kokanee salmon, rainbow trout and small mouth bass. Hunting, hiking and biking trails and wildlife viewing are also popular activities for campground visitors. Dent Acres Campground has 50 campsites with 50-amp full hookups, 49 of which are pull-through sites capable of accommodating RVs up to 35 feet. It has restrooms with showers, fire pits and grills, a dump station, and a two-lane boat launch. The campground also offers tent sites and is open from late April to late November.
