RV Parks Near Big Bend National Park
A bend in the Rio Grande River forms the southern boundary of the expansive Big Bend National Park. A combination of river, desert and mountains, allows guests to hike, bike and kayak along the 118-mile section of river forming a portion of the southern border of the United States. The vast and clear night skies will appeal to every amateur astronomer and philosopher. Travelers will also find several RV parks in the area.

Maverick Ranch RV Park

More than 100 back-in and pull-through RV sites are available at Maverick Ranch RV Park in Lajitas Resort & Spa. The resort's activities, including skeet shooting, horseback riding, ATVs, a spa, golf and river rafting are available for the enjoyment of RV campers. The pool, WiFi, laundromat, bath houses, exercise room and meeting rooms also ensure guests are comfortable during their stay.

Rio Grande Village RV Campground

Rio Grande Village RV Campground provides the only RV campground within Big Bend National Park. The sites are full hookup and since the campground has no restroom facilities, the sewer connection is essential. Most sites are available for reservation but some are set aside for first come, first served. The park does have limited space and longer RVs may have some spatial challenges. Sites may be reserved through the Rio Grande Village Store.

Stillwell Store & RV Park

Located near Corner Windmill on FR 2627 by the eastern entrance of Big Bend National Park, Stillwell Store offers full hook-up sites for RV campers and their pets. The local store provides many of the amenities needed for a comfortable stay (however, no diesel) and the showers and laundry facilities provide additional logistical support for an extended stay. After a day of hiking, rafting and horseback riding in and around Big Bend National Park, visitors may relax in the evening around a campfire underneath the starry west Texas sky. Tent camping is available.
