Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy hiking, fishing, and boating in the area as well as touring the Alamo in nearby San Antonio.

With a location along the banks of the Guadelupe River, anglers will enjoy the River Shade RV Park. Hookups include 30- or 50- amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi. The campground has hot showers, private toilets, patio slabs, barbecue pits and picnic tables, a coin-operated laundry facility, small guest room and a propane service for guest use and comfort. Pets are allowed but must be leashed while in the park. Large RVs can be accommodated with pull-through sites.

Lakefront RV Park is located on the Guadelupe River and has fishing, boating, swimming and floating/tubing. RV hook-ups include 30- and 50- amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV, and guests can use the boat launch for no additional fee. There is picnic area, shade-providing pecan trees, tetherball, volleyball and horseshoes. Hot showers and private toilets are available. Pets are allowed but must be leashed while in the park.

Cappy's Cove RV Park

Cappy's Cove RV Park offers travelers a full range of amenities. Hookups include 30- or 50- amp electric, water, sewer and cable TV. Day, week and longer stay rates are available. There is fishing right from the campground as well as boating and swimming. There are hot showers, private toilets, and picnic tables with barbecue grills. Pets are allowed but should be leashed while at the park. A laundry facility is a mile away.
