Wendego Lodge

If your family enjoys fishing, Wendego Lodge, 25 miles from Kamloops, is a convenient choice, with cabins on Tranquille Lake, offering a comfortable home base to enjoy the natural beauty of the Kamloops area. Located at an elevation of 4,600 feet, the air is fresh and wildlife is abundant: chipmunks, squirrels, deer and moose are some of the critters you might see. This is a peaceful spot where powerboats won't disturb the sound of the birds or the breeze passing through the miles of pine trees.

But fishing is not the only activity at Wendego Lodge. You can also enjoy hiking, swimming, horseshoe tournaments and campfires in the summer; and cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and tobogganing in the winter. If fishing is still your passion, try ice fishing for kokanee and Kamloops trout.

Each housekeeping cabin sleeps up to six people and includes wood cookstoves with wood provided, dishes, cutlery and cooking utensils. Also on-site are an icehouse, a smokehouse (for those fish you catch), and a convenience store that sells fishing licenses, tackle and homemade bread and pies.
