SCUBA Diving Resorts in the Florida Keys

SCUBA Diving Resorts in the Florida Keys
The Florida Keys is a collection of islands just off the southern coast of Florida. Visitors every year flock to the Keys to enjoy the Atlantic Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico, its marine life and the abundance of water sports, especially diving. The Keys are known for island hospitality and stunning views above and below the water. Divers and their families will find an array of accommodations to suit their needs.

Amoray Dive Resort

Hosted by brother and sister team Amy and Justin Slate, the Amoray Dive Resort is a Padi-National Geographic Gold Palm Resort named best resort by SCUBA Diving magazine in February 2008. Equipped with a 45-foot catamaran and a 26-foot dive boat, the resort offers several dive packages to choose from. On non-diving days you can take an all-day cruise or charter a boat with advanced reservations. Divers won't be disappointed with the marine life just off the coast of Key Largo. You''ll see giant schools of fish, soft corals and large colonies of richly colored coral. Take a challenging trip to see the wreck of the U.S. Coast Guard ship Duane, which is lodged 60 to 120 feet below.

Rooms have a Caribbean décor, and some are equipped with kitchens, but plenty of cafes and restaurants are nearby. Resort amenities include use of a nearby sandy beach, a heated swimming pool, and free snorkel equipment.
