Treasure Island sits on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico and boasts some of the widest miles of white sand beaches in Florida. The eastern side of Treasure Island features Boca Ciega Bay and opportunities for dolphin-watching boat tours, deep-sea fishing excursions and parasailing. On the north end of the island, John's Pass Village offers more than 70 dining and shopping options as well as watercraft rentals, casino cruises and dolphin-watching tours.

The Gulf Sounds offers four fully furnished private cottages for rent, each with two bedrooms, one bathroom and a full kitchen. Sleeping accommodations include a queen bed in one bedroom and two twin beds in the other, plus a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, oven and microwave. The resort welcomes pets for a $50 fee and requires a three-day minimum stay.

Gulf Sounds is on the beach side of Gulf Boulevard, with public beach access via a convenient boardwalk. Nearby activities include swimming, sunbathing, boating and fishing, and the cottages are less than a mile from John's Pass Village. Attractions within a short drive include Sawgrass Lake Park, one of the best birdwatching sites in Florida, located eight miles east in St. Petersburg.

Tahitian Beach Motel

This resort offers efficiencies, suites and one- or two-bedroom apartment cottages. The efficiencies feature one king or two double beds and a kitchenette equipped with a mini refrigerator, microwave and two-burner cook top. Suites have two double beds plus a full kitchen, and apartments offer separate sleeping areas along with a full kitchen. All rooms offer free Wi-Fi access, and the Tahitian Beach welcomes pets in the bay-side apartment units.

The property features a centrally located heated pool as well as a beach-side patio with grills and tiki cabanas.
