Located approximately 25 miles northwest of Orlando, Mount Dora sits on a Florida plateau 184 feet above sea level. Nestled amongst the orange groves, the city overlooks a number of interconnected lakes that can take boaters to the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. Its large canopy oak trees give Mount Dora its "Southern charm" and is known for its variety of antique and specialty shops. It boasts eight major events and festivals annually, and is home to the Mount Dora Yacht Club; established in 1913 it is Florida's oldest inland yacht club.

Woods-n-Water RV Park

Located just three miles from downtown Mount Dora, Woods-n-Water RV Park has more than 100 sites, most for permanent mobile home residents. They do have a limited number of 30- or 50-amp sites for visitors traveling through and feature free Wi-Fi Internet, cable TV, a swimming pool, shuffleboard, clubhouse and nature walking areas. Spring-fed Lake Saunders is ideal for boating, fishing or canoeing. There's a private boat launch ramp and free docking for boat owners.

Footloose RV Resort and Marina

Located approximately 13 miles from Mount Dora in nearby Leesburg, Footloose is nestled on the Intracoastal Waterway, connecting visitors to five interconnected lakes. There are 10 campsites with 30- or 50-amp full hookups, bathhouses with showers, a boat ramp and 20 boat slips. Recreation enthusiasts can canoe, kayak, fish, boat and bird watch. Cottage rentals are also available.

Situated approximately 20 miles from Mount Dora in a 200-acre natural wood setting in Leesburg, Holiday Travel Resort has 935 sites with 30- or 50-amp full hookups and large sites capable of accommodating big rigs. It features bathhouses with showers, four laundry facilities, cable TV, Wi-Fi Internet, two pools and a hot tub, 12 shuffleboard courts, two volleyball courts, a nine-hole chip-and-putt golf course, an 18-hole miniature golf course, five recreation halls and a playground with basketball hoops. There is also a 210-slip marina with boat launch access to Harris Chain of Lakes and an office with supplies and bait. The resort hosts a weekly produce and flea market and an annual two-day craft fair.
