Located approximately 90 miles east of Jackson, Mississippi, Meridian sits on the 88-degree longitude line. It has a deep history tied to the railroads and during the Civil War, Gen. Outdoor enthusiasts can bike, swim, golf or visit the historical Dunn's Falls, a 65-foot waterfall that once powered a grist mill and manufactured Stetson hats.
