Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress

Visitors at the Grand Cypress resort can find plenty to do on the property without ever leaving to visit the theme parks or other tourist attractions in Orlando. The 1500-acre resort features standard rooms or suites, all with a private balcony and WiFi access. This property boasts six restaurants, including a gourmet steakhouse, sushi bar and café, three lounges, a coffee shop and an on-site mini-market.

Outside, the Grand Cypress offers an expansive pool area featuring 12 waterfalls, three whirlpools and two waterslides. For other water sports, Lake Windsong boasts 1000 feet of sandy beach. Here guests rent canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, sailboats, aqua cycles and hydro bikes. The lush property offers three nature trails for biking, jogging and walking. Bike rentals are available on the premises.

Loews Royal Pacific Resort

On the Universal Orlando Resort property, the Loews Royal Pacific combines comfort with convenience and a variety of on-site activities. The 1000 rooms are set in a South Seas paradise, and the lagoon pool with sandy beach enhances the tropical feel. The resort features paths for jogging or walking and a 5000-square-foot fitness center with sauna, steam room and whirlpool.

The hotel welcomes pets and offers designated walking areas for these special guests. A $25 cleaning fee is required per pet. Staying at a Universal Orlando Resort has many privileges, including express ride access, so hotel guests do not have to wait in line for popular (often crowded) rides at the Universal theme parks. The resort also offers free transportation on the Universal property via boat and bus.

Wyndham Orlando Resort

This 42-acre resort sits on one of the main tourism thoroughfares in Orlando, but guests feel like they are miles away from it all. Many of the Wyndham's two-story suites are pet-friendly and kid-friendly. The kid suites have bunk beds, and they all offer high-speed Internet access.

The property features a lush garden landscape with three heated pools, hot tub, sauna and steam room. There is also a large, full-service fitness center on-site as well as designated trails for jogging. The resort offers a free shuttle service to SeaWorld, Universal and Wet 'n Wild water park. There is a fee for transport to the Disney parks. Nearby activities include boating, fishing, jet skiing and nature trails.
