Located along the Straits of Florida between the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean, the Florida Keys are a popular destination for boating, diving, snorkeling, fishing, water sports and ecotourism. The Florida Keys are connected by U.S. Highway 1, also known as the Overseas Highway. The route has earned All-American Road status, the highest designation for scenic routes in the United States.

Hawk's Cay Resort and Marina

Hawk's Cay Island Resort and Marina is a luxury resort located on Duck Key. It offers standard hotel rooms, water-view and island-view rooms, and two, three and four-bedroom private villas. Each of the rooms is appointed with a flat-panel LCD TV, marble bathrooms and Wi-Fi. Hawk's Cays villas also offers kitchens with stainless steel appliances and granite counters.


The resort includes a full-service spa, private and group yoga classes, adult and general access swimming pools, eight tennis courts, a fitness center, bike trails and rentals and nature hiking trails. Hawk's Cay has boat slips available for rent and can arrange boat charters for many types of excursions, including offshore fishing, inshore fishing, flats fishing, fly fishing and family outings. At various times throughout the year, Hawk's Cay hosts fishing tournaments in which guests may compete.

Hawk's Cay maintains a dolphin research facility on the resort grounds and allows visitors to interact with a pod of bottlenose dolphins and participate in educational programs about marine conservation. It is the only resort in the United States to offer a program of this kind.

There are six restaurants on Hawk's Cay's property property, as well as a marina store, gift shop and spa boutique. The resort is open year-round and is pet-friendly.

Parmer's Resort

Parmer's Resort is located on the waterfront one half-mile off US-1 on Little Torch Key. Parmer's offers Keys visitors traditional hotel room in addition to one, two and three-bedroom suites, all of which have balconies or porches. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and cable television. The resort's villas include fully-equipped kitchens with microwaves, coffee makers and utensils. Continental breakfast is included in the room price.

The resort includes tropical gardens, hammocks, a swimming pool, boat docks and lighted boat basins.

Parmer's Resort is a member of the Florida Green Lodging Program and engages in environmentally-friendly practices, including recycling, water and energy conservation and limited cleaning chemical usage. Pets are not permitted on the property and all rooms are non-smoking.

Little Palm Island

Little Palm Island is located on an island offshore from Little Torch Key. It is accessible by private boat, seaplane, or the resort's water taxi. The accommodations consist of 26 private bungalows, many of which offer outdoor showers and canopy beds. Although each bungalow has air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, the rooms do not include alarm clocks, telephones or televisions in order to preserve the tranquility of the resort.

The resort has a marina, lagoon-style pool, hammocks, private beaches, a zen garden and a guest library. A full-service spa is onsite, as well as a restaurant that was named the Best Hotel Dining in Florida and Number Three hotel restaurant in the United States by Zagat.

Only guests older than 16 years of age are permitted to stay at the resort. Pets are not allowed on the property.
