Hanford is a small city in the San Joaquin Valley of California. About 30 miles from Fresno and a few miles form the Kings River, Hanford enjoys both urban offerings and pastoral, country-side charm. A visit to Hanford is a good launching ground to explore the nearby Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. If you are touring the region in an RV, Hanford and its surroundings offer many good choices for campgrounds.

Kings Fair

The Kings Fair is the Hanford region's fairgrounds. In addition to the amusements and buildings on the grounds, Kings Fair offers RV camping. Kings Fair offers 250 sites that can accommodate all sizes of RVs, including those needing pull-through sites. Slide-out RVs can be accommodated. The sites offer full electric--30- and 50-amp--water, sewer and TV hook-ups. On the grounds, guests can use the laundry facility, hot showers and private toilets. Kings Fair is 45 minutes from the entrance to Sequoia National Park. Pets are allowed on the grounds, but need to be kept on a leash and cleaned-up after.

Visalia KOA

For the RV guest who enjoys the familiarity of a chain campground, the Visalia KOA is just a few minutes outside of downtown Hanford. The Visalia KOA offers guests full hook-ups, which includes 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer and dump station, cable TV and Wi-Fi. Pets are welcome, and there are playgrounds and play areas for kids. AAA and Good Sam club discounts are offered to members. On-site amenities include hot showers and private toilets, a guest house with kitchen facilities, barbecue grills, picnic tables, game room, swimming pool, volleyball and basketball courts and a horseshoe pit. Guests have quick and easy access to Hanford and Visalia restaurants, shops and historic sights.

Sun and Fun RV Park

A few minutes from Hanford is the Sun and Fun RV Park. Shaded and grassy sites come standard with full electric--30- and 50-amp service--water, sewer and cable TV hook-ups. Wi-Fi is available through the grounds for guest use. Pets are allowed. Barbecue grills and fire rings with picnic tables let the RV camper cook in the great outdoors. Showers and private toilets, and a coin-operated laundry room are on site for guest use. There is a playground for kids on site. A dump station is available for guest use as well. The Sun and Fun is close to the nearby national parks and downtown Hanford and Visalia.
