Known as the "Biggest Little City in the World," Reno, Nev., is a popular destination for its outdoor activities and casino attractions. The area has hiking, skiing, mountain biking, fishing and rafting. There are 968 miles of hiking and biking trails, and 18 ski resorts within 90 minutes of the Reno airport. There also are 14,000 slot machines in Reno and 600 gaming tables.

Reno RV Park

Family-owned and operated since 1984, the Reno RV Park offers visitors a friendly, smaller feel. All sites have a concrete/level pad, 30-amp electric hookups, water, shade trees, sewer, television and phone hookups. Showers and private bathrooms are on-site as well as a laundry facility. With a fenced dog run, and free "mutt-mitts" to clean up after your pet, dogs are welcome with no additional fees. There is a propane station on-site and guests are free to use the barbecue grills, picnic tables and fire rings in the park.

Silver Sage RV Park

Just across the Street from the Peppermill Casino, the Silver Sage RV Park has full hookups, including water, electric, phone and television. There is a dump station on-site as well as propane services. Laundry, showers, toilets and a lounge are available for guest use. Pets are welcome with a small fee. Wi-Fi access is available, and the Silver Sage is ADA-equipped. Guests can use the barbecue grills and picnic areas.

Shamrock RV Park

In a downtown location, yet still enjoying Sierra Mountain views, the Shamrock RV Park offers guests city and country. "Trailer Life" magazine chose the Shamrock RV Park as the 2009 "Award of Excellence" winner. The park offers full RV hookups with electric, water, sewer and cable television. Wi-Fi is free and pets are welcome at no additional charge. All 121 sites are fully paved for level parking, and big rigs are accommodated. The Shamrock is 45 minutes from Lake Tahoe. Online reservations are not available, so guests are encouraged to phone ahead to make reservations during the busy summer season (April through October.)
