British Columbia is an ideal spot for nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts and RV road trippers. The province is grand is scope, and has varied ecosystems and terrain. RV tripping in the province can give the traveler a sense of isolation, wilderness and charm. There are many options for RV parks in the province, all depending on what part of the province you find yourself.

Prince George - Bee Lazee RV Park

Prince George is in the north-central part of British Columbia. Once known as a remote logging outpost and small town, Prince George has emerged as an erudite and wild locale. The Bee Lazee RV park is outside Prince George and has full hookups, Wi-Fi, laundry, shower and bath, private toilets, satellite television, a heated swimming pool and an on-site RV and car wash. The Bee Lazee is family-owned and offers CAA and AAA discounts to guests. It is pet-friendly, with a small off-leash play area.

Okanagan - Swan Lake Campground and RV Park

The Okanagan region of south-central British Columbia is surrounded by the Bugaboo and Kokanee Mountains. Lake Okanagan, home of the lake monster "Ogopogo," has emerged as a prime grape-growing region, and is becoming renowned for vineyards and wineries, particularly ice wines. The Swan Lake Campground and RV Park is a few miles from Vernon, B.C., away from major roads and thoroughfares. Because of its location, Swan Lake is quiet and secluded. RV sites come with full hookups, cable television and level parking. There is laundry on-site, along with a dump station. The Swan Lake RV park offers monthlong stays and rates for long-term visitors. Pets are allowed.

Vancouver - Capilano RV Park

No trip to British Columbia is complete without spending time in the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver. The Capilano RV Park is in North Vancouver and minutes away from downtown's Robson and Burrard Streets, the popular shopping district with stores such as Hermes, BCBG, DKNY and BeBe. The Stanley Park Aquarium is nearby and a tour through Stanley Park is within a drive across the Lion's Gate Bridge for Capilano RV Park guests. The park offers level sites, Wi-Fi, cable television hookups, electric, a dump station, shower rooms and private toilets. There is a swimming pool and game rooms for kids. As of January 2009, the Capilano RV park was no longer pet-friendly. Reservations for the summer months are recommended.
