Ft. Myers Hiking ClubsThere are many hiking trails to explore throughout Ft. Myers, Florida. The Florida trail consists of 1,500 miles of scenic trails across the state. Joining an outdoors club can be beneficial in exploring different paths, scenic trails and wilderness---not just in Ft. Myers, but throughout the sunshine state.

The SW Florida Walking Meetup Group

The group meets for various walking adventures. Sometimes there are moonlight walks scheduled or walks on nature trails. There are over 250 members with active participation on outings. There is a one time fee of $10 to join.

Tampa Bay Outdoor Adventures Group

Aside from hiking, this club also offers other recreational outings such as rock climbing, skiing/snowboarding, hang gliding, scuba diving, horseback riding, camping and sailing. The Tampa Bay Adventures Group was founded in 2007. Members pay yearly dues; all ages and skill levels are welcome to join. The club's event prices are based on group rates.

Suncoast Chapter - Florida Trail Association Group

The club is based in the Tampa area. It has members throughout the Florida peninsula where a great number of its outdoor events are scheduled. The organization has a schedule of events nearly every weekend, which includes hiking, kayaking, canoeing and biking. Trips can be single day or multi-day events. The Suncoast Chapter maintains the Florida National Scenic Trail between US 98 north of Lakeland and Hernando.
