Custer State Park is located along US Highway 16A in Custer, South Dakota. This picturesque outdoor retreat offers four resorts for visitor stays. Resorts serving Custer State Park include the State Game Lodge, Sylvan Lake Lodge, Blue Bell Lodge, and Legion Lake Lodge. A luxury lodging facility known as Creekside Lodge also operates on the property of the State Game Lodge.

Creekside Lodge

Creekside Lodge is located along Grace Coolidge Creek on the grounds of the Custer State Park State Game Lodge. This rustic style lodge is adorned with fireplaces and Mission-style handcrafted furniture. Visitors often sight native wildlife such as elk and buffalo from the windows in their guest quarters. Amenities at this lodging facility include paddleboats, fishing docks, hiking trails, hayrides, and cookouts.

Blue Bell Lodge

The Blue Bell Lodge offers log cabin lodging with kitchenettes and fire grates. A honeymoon cabin with a full fireplace is also available. Televisions and microwaves are featured in each cabin. Large cabins, which sleep up to eight people, are also available. Amenities at this Custer State Park resort include the Blue Bell riding stables where trail rides are available on a daily basis for a fee. Hayrides and "Chuck Wagon" cookouts with musical entertainment are routinely held at the Blue Bell Lodge. Children age four and older can use the stable services, providing they can sit in the saddle alone.

State Game Lodge

Guests at the State Game Lodge are treated to fantastic views of both natural wildlife, and the scenery of the Black Hills. This Creekside Lodge sister site is also located along Grace Coolidge Creek. Trout fishing is one of the primary attractions to this Custer State Park resort. State park hiking trails and the ability to participate in Blue Bell trail rides are amenities of this lodging facility. State Game Lodge is the starting point for the Buffalo Safari Jeep Tours excursions into the Black Hills tundra.

Legion Lake Lodge

This Custer State Park lodge resort is situated along the edge of Legion Lake. The Legion Lake Lodge allows swimming, boating, and fishing in designated sections of the lake. Mountain bikes, paddleboats, kayaks, and hydro bikes are available for rent at this lodging facility. The Centennial Trail provides ample hiking and strolling space for lodge visitors. Visitors can curl up on a rustic family style cabin, s well as enjoy a lakeside picnic either one of the many picnic tables, or by throwing a blanket along the water's edge.
