The northeast Florida town of Starke will please anyone who enjoys the great outdoors. The city is located near several lakes, forests and other outdoor sites for all types of individuals. Also convenient to Interstate 75 and Interstate 10, Starke also is home to restaurants, shopping destinations and several attractions in town as well in surrounding areas.

Camp Blanding Museum and Memorial Park

Established in 1939, the museum honors the Florida National Guard and other military units. For free, guests can tour the camp's museum to see photographs, memorabilia and learn about various groups. At the park, which sits near Kingsley Lake, guests will see monuments, statues, aircrafts and sometimes a demonstration or lecture. The location offers a gift shop, which sells books, videos, medals and souvenirs. The site also serves as a training site for the National Guard and reserve units.

Starke Golf and Country Club

Although opened in 1959, the club is updated with current features. On a secluded lot to the east of the downtown of Starke and near Camp Blanding, guests can enjoy a nine-hole course and driving range. At the clubhouse---complete with a kitchen, patio and front porch---visitors can participate in Texas Hold 'Em and other special activities or rent it out for their own enjoyment.

Hampton Lake Bed and Breakfast

Situated on 60 acres at Hampton Lake and near Highway 301, this B&B offers a relaxing getaway near other area attractions. Although it is a secluded getaway, it also offers updated amenities like high-speed wireless Internet, DVD players, bathrobes and a Jacuzzi tub. When guest aren't fishing or walking around the 200 feet of waterfront and nature-filled site or relaxing on the porch and by the stone fireplace, they can enjoy an included breakfast, complimentary beverages and snacks or a special-requested dinner.
