Robert H. Treman State Park

Consider visiting Robert H. Treman State Park if you enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, hunting (bow hunting only) and swimming. The park is home of the Enfield Glen Gorge and 12 waterfalls. Perhaps the most famous of these waterfalls is the 115-foot-tall Lucifer Falls. Visibility near Lucifer Falls is so clear that you can see the water travel down through the park for a mile and a half. If you start to get hungry, consider catching some fish. The park provides grills where you can cook your catch, and picnic tables where you can sit and enjoy dinner before exploring more of the park. Bring your pets with you as long as you have proof of their inoculations.

Buttermilk Falls State Park

As an outdoor enthusiast, you will find no end to activities at Buttermilk Falls State Park. In-season hunting (bow hunting only, no guns), swimming (in designated areas where lifeguard is on duty), hiking and nature walking are only a few of the pastimes the park provides. Geographical attractions include the beach, waterfalls and scenic views. The sports fields and playgrounds also provide you with an opportunity to meet other outdoor enthusiasts. Rabies inoculation forms are required in order to bring pets into the park. Most attractions at Buttermilk Falls are handicap-accessible, like the nature trails, scenic views, fishing spots and beach.
