Raccoon Mountain Caverns

Raccoon Mountain Caverns offers gemstone panning, go-kart rides, hiking trails and cave tours, all of which are situated between Raccoon Mountain and Lookout Mountain. The cave system is over 5.5 miles of mapped passageways. Raccoon Mountain RV Park and Campground is located at the base of Raccoon Mountain and is adjacent to the caverns.

Blue Moon Cruises

Blue Moon Cruises provides eco-tours into the Tennessee River Gorge departing from Ross's Landing City Pier in Chattanooga and eco-tours into the Hiwassee Island Refuge departing from Sale Creek Marina in Soddy Daisy. The crew of the Blue Moon includes naturalists who will point out wildlife sightings along the river and answer any questions. The cruises depart at various times based on the season and last for 3.5 hours.

Ruby Falls

Ruby Falls, located within Lookout Mountain, is a 145-foot underground waterfall found in America's deepest commercial cave. The tour starts at the Historic Cavern Castle; an elevator will take you down where your guide will lead you along the cave path and point out formations such as Onyx Column and Frozen Niagara. After viewing the waterfall and returning to the Cavern Castle, you will have the opportunity to pan for gemstones and have dinner on the deck.

Tennessee Aquarium

Tennessee Aquarium is located on the Chattanooga riverfront. Attractions at the aquarium include Cove Forest, Delta Forest, Butterfly Garden, Tropical Cove, Secret Reef, Penguins' Rock, Nickajack Lake and Rivers of the World. The aquarium has an IMAX 3D theater with a six-story screen and also conducts river cruises on the River Gorge Explorer. An aquarium naturalist will point out historic points, wildlife and protected habitat as you cruise the Tennessee River.
