Fiji Dive Resorts

Fiji Dive Resorts
The Fiji Barrier Reef is one of the top diving spots in the world. Reliable weather, and water that has an average temperature in the upper 70s to low 80s Fahrenheit, make this destination an underwater explorer's dream. Beneath the water's surface, Fiji is a sight to behold with brilliantly colored soft coral, steep drop-offs and shallow lagoons teeming with colorful life. If you are a diver, nothing but the amenities of a dive resort will do.

Beqa Lagoon Resort

Beqa Lagoon Resort is a shore diving paradise. Just a few feet from the shore, you'll find fantastic coral displays, active sea life and memorable reef formations. Beqa Lagoon Resort is a Professional Association of Diving Instructors certified dive resort that includes two boat dives a day plus unlimited shore diving day and night. This resort is the place to discover diving, get certified or obtain a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification. Tanks and weights are included. Other gear is available to rent.

Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort

Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort has received the World's Best Environmentally Friendly Accommodation award from Trip Advisor and was called the No. 1 Resort in Fiji and the Most Excellent Resort in the Atlantic, Caribbean and Pacific Islands by Condé Nast Traveler in 2006. The year before, the magazine named the resort the No. 1 Resort Worldwide. These are just a few in a list of awards and accolades the resort has received. Dive packages include the couples scuba dive and rejuvenation package, an offering that considers non-diving spouses. The package includes seven nights of luxury, including gourmet meals and the choice of three days of two tank dives or three 60-minute massages. Add in a slew of non-diving activities and you have an exceptional vacation for two.

Octopus Resort

It's as easy to relax above the water as it is below at the Octopus Resort. The resort offers a true getaway from cell phones, television and modern life in general. In fact, you'll have to take a boat or a helicopter to get there. Adjacent to Likuliku Bay, named one of the Top 10 Beaches in the World by Condé Nast Traveler in 2008, Octopus Resort delivers one opportunity after another. Under the sea, Octopus provides easy access to The Bommies, Black Rock Coral Garden and the Nova Wall, all appropriate for beginners but can be varied for advanced divers.

Live-Aboards

An article about Fiji dive resorts would be remiss if it didn't mention the most active of the resort offerings: the live-aboard. On a live-aboard, you cruise from one dive site to another, experiencing the best Fiji has to offer. Live-aboards offer exceptional food and service, making the casual traveler feel like a millionaire.
NAI'A is one such live-aboard in Fiji. NAI'A is a 120-foot long motorsail yacht that sleeps up to 18 passengers with 12 crew. It has spacious cabins, recreational decks and a variety of non-diving activities to enjoy during decompression. Equipment rentals are also available on board.
