Catamount Ski Area

You'll find the Catamount Ski Area on the Taconic Range's Mount Fray, near the Massachusetts border. Catamount is popular for its thorough snow-making coverage, wide trails and large number of beginner and intermediate trails. These features combine to create a skiing adventure that skiers of all experience levels can enjoy. Families and beginners should check out the Meadows Area, but if you're more experienced, you can head straight to more challenging trails like the two-mile Ridge Run.

During the warmer months, Catamount offers quite a different experience. The Catamount Adventure Park features eight different aerial adventure courses; you navigate a series of tree platforms through a combination of rope walking, climbing and zip lines. The courses range in difficultly from beginner to expert, so don't be discouraged by a lack of experience.
