The Green Mill
This is possibly the top jazz club you will find in Chicago. This club had a grim historical reputation, being the place where comedian and singer Joe E. Lewis was attacked and left for dead after refusing to renew his contract at the Green Mill, then owned by Gangster Al Capone. The interior hasn't changed much, still looking old and fairly dark, but the music is better than ever.
The Green Mill has the best of the best musicians playing with special events on Saturday and Sunday. They also have their "poetry slam" nights, where local poets read their work with dramatic jazz music backing them up. For guests, they have free parking and when that runs out, you can park on the street. This is an excellent way to spend the early hours of the morning.

Here is a club that gives a variety of options. This is a great place to hang out with friends, whether you want to play some pool, do some dancing or just relax. There is lots of space for doing this and the crowd, which mainly includes younger people, make good use of it.
There is always a high level of energy lifting the club off of the ground at night. They play a variety of music at the Beaumont. It ranges from 1990s to hip-hop, to new wave, and everything in between. Pub-style food is available for those who get the munchies, and smoking is allowed.

This seemingly higher-class night club draws crowds every night to its stylishly designed bar. Actually, there are nine bars that make up this club, all of them serving anything from light alcohol content to heavy liquor. They have two DJs who supply the music to fill up the massive dance floor. Valet parking is even included in this trendy place.
There is a dress code and tickets needed for this club, but once inside, the fun begins. Everyone has a great time at the Sound Bar, which is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. For visitors or anyone looking for an upscale good time, this is the place to be.
