Winter Hike at Hocking Hills

Enjoy the crisp outdoors of Ohio in January when you take part in the Winter Hike at Hocking Hills. The Hocking Hills annual winter hike has been a tradition for over 43 years and involves a six-mile hike along challenging terrain, beginning at the Hocking Hills State Park Visitors Center and winding along grassy hillsides, waterfalls, rivers and trees and local plantlife that has changed colors under the winter chill. It is recommended that you wear clothing that will keep you warm in the cold Ohio weather. The Winter Hike is a popular and picturesque outing, but due to the challenging weather conditions, you may encounter ice, mud and bitter cold. It is recommended that those with medical situations or poor health not take part in the hike.
