Tijuana River Valley Regional Park

The Tijuana River Valley Regional Park features a community garden and the Bird and Butterfly Garden. These attractions, along with over 22 miles of walking trails, can provide a day of fun and education about San Diego's wildlife and natural resources. Contact the park prior to your trip to find out about having a park ranger as a tour guide for your field trip. You can also stop at the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve or the Border Field State Park, which are adjacent to the park.

Reuben H. Fleet Science Center

The Reuben H. Fleet Science Center offers hands-on activities to help the members of your group learn about the planets, astronomy, space travel and other science concepts. Many of the activities, including the Nierman Challenger Learning Center, meet State Standards and Framework for students in grades 3 through 12. For certain activities, teachers must schedule a training session prior to the field trip.
