How to Disassemble a Shakespeare Spin Casting Fishing Reel
Shakespeare spin casting fishing reels are durable fishing gears equipped with adjustable drag systems and a push-button operation to cast lines. Things You’ll Need:
  • screwdriver
  • needle-nose pliers
Step 1
Use the screwdriver to unscrew the reel cover and set aside.
Step 2
Take out the reel mechanism from behind the Shakespeare reel housing.
Step 3
Remove the handle with the screwdriver by unscrewing the screw located at its center. Set aside.
Step 4
Unscrew the metal spool cover.
Step 5
Lift the spool with fishing line apart from the reel spindle.
Step 6
Use the needle-nose pliers to remove the C-shaped retained clip from the top of the spindle.
Step 7
Remove the internal gear mechanisms from the spool spindle carefully and place each part down in a secure and organized way to prevent losing any pieces. Your Shakespeare spin casting fishing reel is now completely disassembled.
