How to Clean Propane Burners on Camp Stoves

How to Clean Propane Burners on Camp StovesCamp stoves make cooking life at camp a breeze. There's almost nothing you can't cook on them. As with most things where food is concerned, the stove is bound to get dirty. Dirt and spilled food are eventually going to get inside of the stove. Cleaning the stove and burners won't be that hard and will even be easier if you wipe it off after every use.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:
  • Warm water
  • Dishwashing detergent
  • Bowl
  • Non-abrasive cloth

Step 1
Allow the camp stove to completely cool down before you start to clean it.
Step 2
Remove the metal grill from the stove and set it aside.
Step 3
Mix some dishwashing detergent and warm water together in a bowl. Dampen a non-abrasive cloth with the solution.
Step 4
Wipe the inside of the stove out with your damp cloth, wiping around the propane burners to remove any food that might be on them.
Step 5
Wipe the grill off with the soapy cloth and replace it back on the stove.

Tips & Warnings

Always store your camp stove away clean and completely dry so there's no chance of it rusting.

Store any propane bottles away from areas of heat or fire. Do not flood the inside of the stove with water as you clean it. The dampened cloth should work sufficiently in wiping away any mess.
