How to Clean a Sigg Water Bottle

How to Clean a Sigg Water BottleYour SIGG water bottle is like a loyal companion. You take it everywhere you run, walk, hike or bike. Since it gets so much use, you'll want to wash it regularly. Washing a SIGG bottle is no more difficult than washing the other dishes in your sink.

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:
  • Scrub brush
  • Dish detergent
Step 1
Take the top off and disassemble any parts. Some bottles, such as Kids and Active models, feature seals that can be broken down further after taking off the top.
Step 2
Soak your scrub brush in warm, soapy water. Scrub the interior of the bottle. Most SIGG bottles are tall and slender, so a scrub brush is more effective than a sponge.
Step 3
Clean the lid and seal with soap and water using the brush or a sponge.
Step 4
Rinse the bottle and lid with hot water.
Step 5
Leave the top off and let the bottle air dry in a dish strainer. Store it with the top off.

Tips & Warnings

SIGG states that its bottles are dishwasher safe, but suggests that the best way to get them fully clean is to hand wash.
Wash your bottle after each use, and don't allow liquid to sit in it for an extended period.
Wash the bottle, seal and top before the first use.
SIGG offers cleaning products made specifically for its bottles, including brushes and cleaning tablets.
