Kukuiolono Park sits on a hill above the town of Kalaheo. The park, adjacent to a golf course, includes a 0.8-mile nature loop, a lava rock garden, a Hawaiian garden and a beautiful Japanese garden with a stone footbridge, sculptures, bonsai trees and fountains overgrown with plants.
The trail is surrounded with ironwood and eucalyptus trees plus an abundance of flowers. The gardens are alive with domestic chickens that roam the grounds freely. The views extend to the neighboring hillsides dotted with homes and magnificent coastal views.
