There are strict travel restrictions to Cuba. If you are traveling from America, be sure to read regulations carefully to avoid hefty fines.

Travelers must present a valid passport when entering Cuba.

To enter Cuba, you must have a return ticket to present. Immigration is banned and you will not be let in without this.

Tourist Visa

Aside from a passport, you must provide a tourist visa. This visa can be purchased before or upon arrival at customs. It is valid for 30 days but can be extended in person.

Work Visa

If you are traveling to Cuba for any type of work, you must apply for a work visa through the United States embassy.

The most important thing to keep in mind when traveling to Cuba is the travel ban. It is illegal for Americans to spend money in Cuba, and anyone who spends money without an appropriate license will be fined up to $55,000.
