Orlando has several RV parks for those visiting Disney World or Universal Studios. These parks offer full hookups for RV camping; amenities include showers and laundry facilities, as well as a recreation center and public-use rooms. Some have pools, and some offer canoe rentals.
State parks and national forests offer camping in a natural setting. Ocala National Forest has more than 300,000 acres of forests and 11 campgrounds, six of which offer full hookups for RV camping. Though smaller, state parks offer similar camping options. State parks usually center on a natural attraction such as Blue Springs or a lake. These parks offer full hookups as well as tent camping, and some have primitive camping areas.
Resorts, or private campgrounds, strive to serve as a vacation destination in themselves. These campgrounds usually offer many entertainment options and activities for campers in addition to campsites with full hookups for RVs. These campgrounds may have long-term visitors and may not allow tent camping.
These campgrounds are often on a lake and offer fishing and boating supplies. Some offer canoe and other types of boat rentals.
