Crystal Lake is located in Crystal Lake, Iowa. It provides anglers the opportunity to catch many species of fish.

About the Lake

This natural, shallow lake has an area of about 240 acres. Its maximum depth is 10 feet.


You will need a license to fish Crystal Lake, or any lake, in Iowa. You can buy resident and nonresident licenses at most fish and tackle shops or through the Department of Natural Resources.

Types of Fish

Crappie, bullhead, yellow perch and channel catfish are some of the fish that you can hook at Crystal Lake. Regulations will determine the number of species and size of species that you can catch, so check when you get your license.


There is no limit to the size of boats allowed to fish Crystal Lake. Shoreline access isn't great, but there is a hard-surface boat ramp. Boat rentals are not available at the lake.

Where to Stay

Tent and RV camping are available right at Crystal Lake.
