    RV Parks on California Beaches
    For a truly unique camping experience, travelers can set up camp and spend a night on one of California's splendid state beaches, falling asleep to the music of the surf. Adventure-seekers can reserve a space in one of the RV parks on California beaches and start living.

    San Onofre State Beach

    San Onofre Bluffs at San Onofre State Beach north of Camp Pendleton and San Diego on Old Highway 101 (off Interstate 5) offers campsites on the bluffs above San Onofre Surf Beach. The campground has firepits and cold showers, but no hookups. Maximum rig length is 36 ft.

    Doheny State Beach

    Doheny State Beach at Dana Point in Orange County offers 118 developed sites for RV campers. The park offers WiFi Internet access, handicap-accessible sites and showers; at least half of the sites are beachfront property.

    Pismo State Beach

    Pismo State Beach, near the town of Oceano, has 103 sites without hookups for campers who want to camp on the beach. Pets must be on a leash and guests may use their generators only during the daytime.

    Sunset State Beach

    Sunset State Beach, south of San Francisco just off the Pacific Coast Highway near Santa Cruz, offers camping for rigs 31 ft. and shorter. Dogs are allowed on a leash; fires are OK in firepits. Guests have access to hiking trails and showers.

    Patrick's Point State Park

    Patrick's Point State Park is north of Eureka in an area of redwood forest that borders the Pacific. The park includes two campgrounds, Agate and Abalone, that border the beach and headlands. Expect fog in the morning. Both campgrounds offer handicap accessible sites and pay showers for guests. Dogs are not permitted on the beaches or trails.
